Access for all
How to explore the Trail

Welcome to the Trent Vale Trail

A family friendly route for walkers, cyclists, wheelchairs and push chairs
through the amazing wetland area around Collingham.

Connecting Newark with Collingham, Besthorpe, Girton, Spalford,
South & North Clifton and Fledborough Viaduct.

The first section from Newark to Collingham has been open for several years and forms part of National Cycle Route 64.

Work on the next section from Collingham to Besthorpe has now begun and plans are being made to then continue the Trail onto Girton Sailing Club and ultimately through the Cliftons onto Fledborough Viaduct to meet up with the Dukeries Trail (NCN647)

Providing a healthy space for walkers, cyclists, and less-able bodied to actively appreciate the countryside and access a wide variety of natural habitats, local sports and amenities.

The Trent Vale Trail will link to other routes connecting it to Newark, Doddington, Lincoln and, via the Fledborough Viaduct, to Clumber Park.
